Biogas Stations

The biogas station is a technological equipment processing biomass (masses or wastes of organic origin) in reactors or fermenters making use of a controlled process of anaerobic digestion (process in which microorganisms decompose organic materials without air access). The main product of anaerobic digestion is biogas generated in the fermenter. Biogas is then held in a storage tank and treated for further use. Based on the input raw-materials, biogas stations are classified as agricultural, municipal and industrial. Agricultural biogas stations have the highest potential for biogas production in the Czech Republic.
The quality of electrical energy and gas production develops and changes continuously. As an investor, you can co-create its future actively. Biogas production is neutral in terms of CO₂, creates jobs and guarantees high financial betterment and constant rate of return in a short period of time. This is where biogas offers ecological and economic advantages.
Biomass is the only renewable source of energy suitable for heat, electricity, gas and fuel production. Owing to this, biomass energy is not only more ecological but also extraordinarily universal. Waste heat generated as a by-product when producing biogas can be used, in addition to other things, to heat housing estates, greenhouses and for cooling. Forcing biogas into existing natural gas networks and using biogas as fuel in motorcars will in particular gain importance in the years to come.

Biogas station reference order:

Biogas Station Číčov (near Spálené Poříčí), customer: AGRAFERM TECHNOLOGIES AG, implementation term: 09/2010 – 08/2011. The subject of the order was transformer substation delivery and complete electrical installations. It is an agricultural biogas station processing beef cattle liquid manure and energy crops (corn silage, sugar beet slices and roots) which produce biogas with a high content of methane during fermentation. Methane is then used as fuel for electricity production. Heat in the form of hot water is another output. The fermented substrate can be used as a first-class fertilizer when returned to the fields.
